Japan View from World Trade Center, Tokyo
One of the best places to get an „overview“ of Tokyo and it's one of the rare observation decks in Tokyo where tripods are allowed. You can go up to the last floor (I think it is 41st or so) by elevator (you have to pay for that) and from there you have a view in every direction. It‘s all inside, so you have to shoot through glass, but when I visited, the glass was very clean. It reminded me a little bit of a „Lounge Bar“ because there are comfortable seats and you can order drinks and food. A really nice place to stay.

Photography Tips
Of course, the Tokyo Tower side is the most interesting side. You should arrive just before sunset to capture the landscape during daytime, sunset, and night. Be sure to come there early to get a good place. Use a Polarizer to avoid reflections.
