The town of Naryn is a good stopover on your road trip. There are various red mountains made of fine sediment in the immediate vicinity. Following the roads off-road to the marked point is particularly worthwhile, as you won't encounter any people and it's very easy to take car photos.

Travel Information

From Naryn, take the A365 up onto a well-maintained gravel road, which is also signposted. However, you should make sure you still drive a 4x4. Rapidly approaching rain can flood the roads and make the surface more difficult to drive on.
