Lao Lower Kuang Si Falls
Kuang Si, also known as Tat Kuang Si (Tat stands for waterfall in Lao), is a multi-stage waterfall in the province of Luang Prabang in Laos. It is located about 30 km southwest of Luang Prabang in the Tat Kuang Si Park nature reserve and is one of the main tourist attractions of the region.
The main waterfall plunges down from shallow pools about 60 metres above karst rocks. In the further course, sinter terraces and turquoise blue pools have formed due to the very calcareous water.
Since 2003, the park has housed the Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre of the Free the Bears Fund, a sanctuary for the endangered collar bear.

Photography Tips
This particular shot was taken roughly halfway along where the river is fenced off to keep swimmers/bathers away.
That allowed me to get a "clean" shot. :-)
An ND-filter helps will help for water smoothing effects.

Travel Information
Just downstream of the main falls itself. Easy to access.
It's about a 15 - 20 minute hike to the main falls from the entrance gates and it can be quite busy with tourists.
