Lithuania Karklė beach, near Klaipėda

Lithuania has only 99 km of the sealine. Most of the sealine is plain and sandy. Karklė is a unique place for photography because you will find gravel, rolling stones and even some boulders which make perfect subjects for the foreground. If you take some hike along the shoreline, you will find some streams flowing into the Baltic Sea. Those playful streams are fun and interesting to photograph!

It is possible to photograph the Karklė beach all day long and a whole year, but the best conditions to shoot are from autumn until mid-spring, because in the summertime you will find a lot of people taking sunbaths on the beach. The sun is setting in the sea, so if you want a lot of colors and rich tones in the sky, you should pay a visit before the sunset. Oh, and don't forget to grab your ND filter!

You can use a car and take a ride from Klaipėda (in the vacation season you will have to pay some parking fee). Also, you can take the city bus. If it's the warm weather, the bike is a good option too. Or, if you are a hiking lover, take a hike from the Klaipėda city through beautiful woodland.
