Luxembourg Saint-Jean-du-Grund view, Luxembourg city

Luxembourg City has a picturesque old town that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is ideal for exploring on foot. The city combines historical architecture with modern elements and offers numerous sights. Particularly impressive are the Casemates du Bock, an extensive system of underground passages and fortifications that offer breathtaking views of the Alzette Valley. The Grand Ducal Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral are also within walking distance and invite you to take a stroll through history. The mixture of old city walls, charming alleys and green parks makes Luxembourg City a special travel destination that never fails to delight visitors. Since you can reach most of these locations by foot withtin 5-15 minutes it definitetly makes sense to check out my other locations I have uploaded in this area to not miss on the gems!

I used my wide-angle lens to get a good good angle of the church but also a piece of the old bastillion in the photo. A polarization filter was also used to preserve colors and contrasts in the image due to the bright light during the day. Coming here in the morning is nice to have some empty streets but to feature the city vibe its nice to come around Lunch time when people are walking around.

Luxembourg City offers a unique perk for travelers: all public transport, including buses, trams, and trains, is completely free. This makes it incredibly convenient to get around the city and explore its various neighborhoods without worrying about fares.
Luxembourg City is also very compact and highly walkable, especially when it comes to the historic sites. The city's old town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is best explored on foot. This area is rich with medieval architecture, charming streets, and significant landmarks.
