Luxembourg Larochette Castle, Luxembourg
The castle overlooks the picturesque village of Larochette and gives it an exceptional character. The village's first buildings date from the 11th century and are located on a peninsula made of Luxembourg sandstone, about 50 meters above the valley of the Ernz Blanche, a tributary of the Sûre. A fire in 1565 left all the buildings on the site in ruins. The house in Créhange is the only one rigorously restored in the 1980s.
Photography Tips
A drone will give you the best view of the castle, including the village and surrounding hills. My favorite time to visit is autumn, when you get the beautiful colors in the landscapes and golden light in the afternoon, which enriches the dynamic.
Travel Information
The parking lot is just next to the castle and is free of charge. You can visit the castle on certain days of the week, which you should check before you visit.
