Mauritius Underwater waterfall, Le Morne

One of the most famous spots in Mauritius can only be seen by air: The underwater waterfall at Le Morne Brabant. Here, the current creates such a beautiful flow of sediment that it creates an optical illusion and makes it look as if a waterfall is falling into the deeper waters. Absolutely impressive.

You can capture the spot with a helicopter flight with your camera. Secure your camera particularly well with a strap. The problem here is that these tours are not offered at sunrise or sunset. The spot can also be observed with varying intensity due to the different strengths of the winds and currents.

With the drone, it is advisable to take off outside the helicopter flight times. The winds here are the most extreme on the island and a popular spot for windsurfers. So definitely check the wind speeds beforehand, in which direction the wind rises/falls and in which direction it moves, plan this into the distance and be aware that this is a very very long flight. You should therefore only attempt the flight with powerful drones.

The marked point is a public parking lot. You can fly directly from the coastal shore with a clear view of the sea.
