Mauritius Le Pouce peak, Port Louis
This hike, which is more popular with locals, takes you up to Le Pouce, which offers a great view over the entire island. Like on the second picture you will have an overview of the capital Port Louis.
Le Pouce is by the way the third highest mountain on the island.

Photography Tips
Use the strong sunset light and darken the aperture a little to create more of a sillouhette and bring the light back a little in post-processing.
For pictures of the city youn should use a zoom-lens.

Travel Information
You can park your car directly at the starting point of the hike. I have marked the spot for you.
The hike begins along a section of forest and then winds its way along a rock face. This section is marked as dangerous as there is an increased risk of falling rocks.
The last section to the peak is quite a challenge and should only be attempted if you are experienced on the mountain and have a head for heights. Please have the right equipment. At 4.2 kilometers for the return route, the hike is quite short, covering around 362 meters in altitude.
