Mauritius Reef illusions at North Le Morne

Due to the currents alternating with the tides, the reef structures take on an illusionary form, looking as if they are falling into the depths.

In generell the foothills at “Le Morne” impress with the finest beaches and crystal-clear water. Each of these beaches is well worth a visit. The more northerly side in particular is no longer surrounded by strong winds and offers an ideal opportunity to relax on the beach and in the sea.

Fly up with your drone and point the camera downwards for a while. This way you will always find interesting minimalist motifs like this one, for example, which is just one of many photographed motifs.

It is also important to keep to the off-peak times, as helicopter tours fly along from late morning until the afternoon.

All beaches in Mauritius are freely accessible, even if they are bordered by private resorts. The usual route to the end of the headland is only possible for resort guests. To get to the spot on the sprawling tongue, you have the option of walking from the marked parking lot across the respective beach sections to the end.
