The oldest lighthouse on the island is located a little way from the town of Albion and close to the capital Port Louis. Its location on the west coast makes it the perfect place to listen to the waves gently crashing against the cliffs while enjoying the sunset.

Photography Tips

Depending on the time of year, you may need to position your drone along the direction of the sunset. I used the 3x zoom here to make the lighthouse the main object in the foreground and to make the surroundings such as the parking lot or the fences around the lighthouse disappear.

Travel Information

You can park directly at the marked spot in front of the lighthouse. It is also a 5-minute walk from there to the cliffs on the coastline, from where you can relax and enjoy the sunset.
