Mauritius Summit cross, Le Morne Brabant

The popular hike “Le Morne Brabant” to the summit cross is a great way to see both the western and southern sides of the coast. On a clear day, there is an incredible view of the structural reef. Breathtaking!

It is also important to keep to the off-peak times, as helicopter tours fly along from late morning until the afternoon.

The summit cross can be reached in about an hour by fast hikers. The route is marked for around 1 1/2 hours. Sturdy footwear is definitely important, as is experience on the mountain. The last 100 vertical meters are exposed climbing sections that really should not be underestimated. So please find out about the route and the challenge beforehand.
