The Cascade 500 Pieds is a magnificent waterfall with a vertical drop that is not very popular with tourists, where you can get right up to the edge and even go swimming in the pools in front of it.

Photography Tips

Place a person in the natural pool.

I would definitely wait until the sun disappears behind the clouds, as the green is then much richer in contrast.

Travel Information

From the parking lot of Alexandra Falls it is about 1.3 kilometers with 120 meters of altitude. However, the path is steep and slippery in places. If it has rained, you should be very careful here. I wouldn't do the trek during or after heavy rain.
