Mexico Santuario Piedra Herrada Monarch Butterfly

This is a reserve from the winter rest of Monarch Butterfly with hundreds of thousands of Monarch Butterflies. This is a place to enjoy and photograph this wonder of nature. You can even hear the sound of thousands of butterflies flying

You have to go between November and March that is when the butterflies are. Is best to go sunny days because with the Sun, the butterflies fly, but with a cloudy day they are all in big groups to keep warm. Is a high place, more than 3000 m over sea level, so can be hard to walk the 2-3 km going up to arrive to the butterflies. Is your physical condition is not good hire a horse ride.
