The Pontanin glacier ist the biggest glacier of Mongolia. It is a truly stunning and wide open field of ice but at the same time, it is also devastating to see the shrinking ice.

This glacier is massive! You will find many scaling / adventurous perspectives. Just take out your zoom lens and let your subject take distance to you.
Travel Information
This area is remote. First, you need to get to the nationalpark by more than 150km off-road. Afterwards, you would need to hike for around 12-16km (450m elevation gain) to reach the area. Parking is at the entrance of the national park.
