Montenegro View over the Bay of Kotor
This is the not-so-typical view of Kotor in Montenegro. It's pretty far up in the hills beyond the city, but still beyond Kotor Fortress. It's even a place where just a few people will pass because it's a little bit off the beaten path.
Photography Tips
In my opinion, it's probably not as photogenic as the spot near the church which is a little bit deeper where you can use the church on the right side as your foreground element, but it's still a great view over the bay.
In general, I would recommend you do a few longer exposures with ND filters to get the water a little bit softer because there is already so much down there with so many details that you don't want even more structure in the water. The sky very much depends on what you want to achieve, just make sure that the boats are sharp. You may have to take a separate shot without a filter to photograph them without movement.

Travel Information
You can leave your car down in the city. The parking place outside of Kotor is marked on the map. Depending on the season you should think of leaving your car even more outside because there is only this one street through the city and there is a lot of traffic during the main rush hours.
The way up there costs around 4 euros during the day, it's probably free early in the morning. Please wear solid shoes when you want to walk up there because the stairs are sometimes slippery and the way is pretty exhausting. Don't forget to take enough water with you on warm days.
You get to this very specific spot by keeping right after you pass the church. There is a little path to this plateau and there are only a few tourists who will walk this way because it's not the usual one, although this is probably the best view over the Bay of Kotor you can get.
