Myanmar Pagoda area of Kakku
Kakku is one of Asia's largest and most spectacular ancient monuments, containing more than 2000 stupas and covering an area of around one square kilometer. It belongs to the minority of the Pa-Oh people, living in this area.
Travel Information
Kakku is situated about 60 kilometers south from Taunggyi, so you need 1 1/2 to 2 hours by car. You need a Pa-Oh guide, whom you can hire in Taunggyi and who charges a fee of 5 US-$. The admission fee to Kakku is another 3 US-$ per person.
