The U Bein Bridge is a historic wooden footbridge spanning Taungthaman Lake near Amarapura, Myanmar. At approximately 1.2 kilometers (0.75 miles) long, it is considered the oldest and longest teakwood bridge in the world.

Constructed between 1849 and 1851 under the direction of Mayor U Bein, the bridge was built using reclaimed teak from the former royal palace in Inwa. It features 1,086 teak posts, many of which have been replaced with concrete supports due to decay.

The bridge is renowned for its sunset views, attracting photographers and tourists who seek to capture its silhouette against the setting sun. It remains an important passage for locals and a symbol of Myanmar's cultural heritage.
