Namibia Road through Ai /Ais-Richtersveld Transfrontier Park
The mountain desert in the Ai-Ais/Richtersveld National Park is characterised by wild, unspoilt scenery, dreamlike tranquillity and absolute desertedness. Some of the routes through the national park are quite adventurous and absolutely require a four-wheel drive vehicle.
Photography Tips
It is best to enter the park in the morning before the light gets too harsh. The barren landscape with its wonderful colours offers numerous opportunities for photography. The Orange River, the border river between Namibia and South Africa, runs right through the middle of the national park and offers an interesting contrast with its green banks.
I prefer a wide angle lens.
