Photography Tips

In the morning it is mostly cloudy and rather dark in Kolmanskop. The sun only appears around noon - earlier or later, depending on the time of year.
It is therefore better to take indoor pictures in the morning and the desert scenario in the afternoon.

Travel Information

The guided tours of Kolemanskop are in the morning. After the tour, you can still move freely around the ghost town. (Attention! Queues!!!)
But you can also buy a permit for the whole day, which allows you to walk around the town during the entire opening time.
