Namibia Cape Cross Seal Reserve
Cape Cross Seal Reserve is located at the Atlantic coast of Namibia north of Swakopmund and the small village of Henties Bay. There is a large colony of Southern Fur Seals which can be observed from a close distance. An entrance fee is charged when entering the reserve.
Photography Tips
Never leave the paths in the area and don't cross the boundaries of the reserve or walk close to the seals. Jackals may be very curious and come really close. Never try to touch or feed them. The seals are very noisy and the odor of the colony is breathtaking at arrival.
Although the animals are not far away, tele photo lenses up to 400 mm are recommended.
