Nepal Tengboche monastery
Tengboche Monastery, which is also pronounced as Thyanboche Monastery is also called DawaCholing Gompa. It is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery which belongs to the Sherpa community of that region and is situated at an elevation of 3,867 meters in the Tengboche village in Khumjung in the Khumbu region of eastern Nepal.
Photography Tips
Any time of the day, this monastery is impressive. However, it's recommended to take photos before noon here since clouds are forming quite fast in the afternoon usually.
Travel Information
To get here, there are several trekking options. The most common one is to go for the EBC-Trek (Everest Basecamp). On this in-and-out trek, you will reach Tengboche as your next stop after Namche Bazaar.
