Nepal Summit Ridge, Sundar Peak
The summit ridge up to Sundar Peak is stunning on its own way. When you turn around and look into the valley, you will see the river winding down and behind the mighty mountains the sun rising. The rays which come off the mountain are just insane!
Photography Tips
Place a person for scale and create the sense of trekking up here is actually possible. Exposure needs to be set for the highlights to avoid loosing these details.
Travel Information
In order to hike up to Sundar Peak and get these views for sunrise, you need to get up quite early and hike up from Thame. Be prepared that after the monastery, the way is brutally steep all the way up. Anyways, that's a good way to acclimatize better to the height. If you want to reach the summit of Sundar Peak, you cover around 1.100 meters elevation on a distance of 4,5km one way.
