Nepal Renjo La Pass
The Renjo La Pass is situated at 5.345m and one of the three high mountain passes which needs to be crossed when trekking the Three Pass Trek. It offers beautiful views on the Everest mountain range.
Photography Tips
If you want some color in your frame (since this area high up mostly consists of blue and grey), you can use the prayer flags as framing. For that, also take a wide open aperture to add unsharp areas to the foreground.
Travel Information
In order to get to Thame and this specific view point, you will need to hike for quite a bit. The Three Passes Trek is a long distance hike around the infamous EBC-Trek and leads you to remote places all around the Everest region.
Lukla is the major starting point of the trail which is reachable by aircraft or helicopter. If the weather is really bad and there cancellations, you can also take a jeep to Lukla which takers around 1,5 days.
The distance from Lukla to this place is around 42km on an elevation gain of 3.900m. Take it slow up high and get well acclimatized over the days to avoid AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness).
