Brighton is a delightful community just south of Dunedin on the south island and hosts some wonderful beaches and rocks which make for potential sunrises and wave action.

Photography Tips

Late summer and early autumn give the best sunrises with the sun position. Look over an ephemeris for the timing. The tide position may be checked ahead for nice waves crashing on the rocks.

Travel Information

A 15 minute drive from Dunedin, there is a nice parking spot nearby with a 100m walk to the beach.
