New Zealand Bushy Beach Scenic Reserve
A short walking track through to DOC provided viewing hides in a Yellow Eyed Penguin reserve. These birds are critically endangered so please respect all signage and do not disturb them. Best viewing is at dawn and dusk as they head out or return from a day feeding. One bird remains on the nest during breading season so you may find some on the nest during the day over summer.
