New Zealand Tunnel Beach
This is very close to Dunedin City but rugged and wild. A man-made tunnel leads down to a beach.
Photography Tips
The lighting conditions will change dramatically and unpredictably, as will the sea conditions. If you time your visit around low tide the beach will be sandy. Close to high tide it is just boulders. But there is plenty to photograph.
Travel Information
Free public access. The beach is signposted. Roadside parking is available. There is a fairly steep but well graded track to the beach. Sturdy shoes are recommended, and watch for slippery surfaces and cliffs. If surf is running and tide is high the beach is not safe.
