A beautiful walk from Hahei Beach to the simply amazing Cathedral Cove.

Photography Tips

This is a very popular spot, so getting shots of the cove without a multitude of people takes a fair amount of planning with success most likely by arriving very early in the morning. Otherwise, simply enjoy the walk and soak in the beautiful views.

Travel Information

Some parking is available at the top of Grange Road south but this can't be relied upon as is often full. During tourist season (summer), there is designated parking available in Hahei town with transport to take you to the top of Grange Road South. Doing so, however, means you miss out on a pretty section of the walk overlooking Hahei Beach. My advice is to walk down to the beach and start from there.
