New Zealand Milky way at Lake Ruataniwha, Ben Ohau, NZ

It was a spontaneous idea to drive to this place. I was looking for a nice foreground for the milky way. It had to be close because I only had a short window of time to take the pictures that night.

When I came to Twizel to stay a night, I found out that this is a dark sky reserve. It was almost full moon and if you want to take pictures of the milky way, no one would recommend taking pictures in these nights.
BUT: I checked the time for moon set and I had an hour to take pictures until the dusk set in. It was really impressive to take this (last) shot and see the milky way dissapear.
