The French Pass Road is probably one of the most stunning and scenic but less known streets of the country. Dramatic rolling hills emerge down to the coasts of the sound.

Photography Tips

When photographing detail in the far off distance, exposure needs to be set for the highlights. Otherwise, it goes super fast to burn the sky. Make sure to have also activated a slightly higher ISO to avoid getting low in shutter speed. That contraindicates the shakiness of a zoom lens.

Travel Information

Driving here takes time. You will pass many broken passages in order to get here - traffic can be seriously slowed down due to construction. Sections of the road are gravel. If the weather is too serious, be advised that a normal car could struggle. If the weather is fine, the road is definitely doable.
