New Zealand McKinnon Pass Lakes

The McKinnon Pass is one of the highlights and the highest point of the iconic Milford Track. It offers spectacular views around in the valleys as well as the towering mountains above.

Even 14mm comes in quite short here. So, bring the widest lens you have.

In order to reach this spot, you would need to book yourself one of the rare spots on the Milford Track. Bookings for the season opening super early and you better keep track of that. Sometimes it's possible with heaps of luck to grab hands on a last minute cancelation.

Reaching the McKinnon Pass marks the highest point of the track. If the weather is good up here (which is rarely is), def. use any chance you can get hands on.
