Norway Segla mountain, Fjordgard
Segla is one of our most visited mountains during the summer season in Senja. From the top of the cliff, where Segla drops 640 meters into the sea, you get amazing views. But the mountain peak itself is also nice to photograph!
Photography Tips
I used the grass for my foreground and came for sunset to catch some mountain glow! especially in the summer; this spot can be pretty busy. I would recommend coming for sunrise or sunset to avoid the crowd.
Travel Information
Hiking up and down to the viewpoint to photograph Segla should take you about 2-3 hours at a moderately slow pace. It is a relatively easy hike with an ascent of about 300-400 meters. The trail starts at Fjordgård, a small fishing village in the northern part of the island of Senja.
