Norway Solbergfoss power station
Solbergfoss power plant is a hydroelectric power plant in the river Glomma in Indre Østfold municipality in Viken county. The power plant is a river power plant and in Solbergfoss a concrete dam has been made over the river which dams the five waterfalls between Solbergfoss and Mørkfoss at the outlet of Øyeren so that in total there is a nominal drop of 20 metres. The height of the falls varies a lot with the flow of water in the river. In the event of a flood, there is a build-up in the outlet and the drop height can drop to 11m. At low water flow, the drop height is over 21m. The formal name of the power plant is Mørkfoss-Solbergfossanlegget, but is colloquially called Solbergfossanlegget. The average annual water flow in Glomma at the plant is 700 m³/second.
