In the few years it has been in existence, Ypsilon has already gained status as a hallmark and is the city's pride. The pedestrian bridge from 2007 connects the new Knowledge Park in Grønland in Drammen with the city park in Bragernes, and has been named "Ypsilon" because of its special shape - from the air it looks like a Y. In the vernacular, it is therefore called the "Y-brua" . The bridge has one abutment on the Strømsø side and two on the Bragerness side. The project is a joint venture between Union Eiendomsutvikling AS, Drammen municipality and Kunnskapsparken AS.
