Norway Reiårsfossen
Reiårsfossen is a waterfall over 200 m high on highway 9 just south of Ose in Setesdal. Reiårsfossen got its name because one of the village's farm boys, Reiår (old spelling for Reidar), who had fallen in love with a farm girl on Ose. To get her, the farmer made it a condition that he ride over the top of the waterfall three times. This he did, but the legend says that he wanted to take another trip over the waterfall in honor of his bride-to-be, which had the fatal consequences that both the horse and Reiår fell down and lost their lives.
