Norway Vaerivassfossen, Rago Nationalpark
One of the most fascinating and stunning places to camp in whole of Norway is probably the area around the Rago Nationalpark. Set up tent right in front of the gates at the National Park (bridge over the waterfall is the border for the National Park). From there, enjoy the silence, the vast beauty of the waterfall and surroundings. There is no place more remote and stunning than this one.
Photography Tips
When getting front light, make sure to get a close position to the waterfall as it gets lid in red during midnight sun. Its important to bring your ultra wide-angle lens with you.
Travel Information
There is limited parking at the trail heads and as of 2022 the locals placed a parking fee sign. However, if you are willing to go 500 meters further, the street gets wider and parking will be free of charge. The hike up to Litlverivassforsen is around 11,9km in length and takes you up around 620m in height through beautiful remotely landscapes.
