Sommarøy is perhaps the best scenic spot on Kvaløya Island for photographing the Northern Lights. There is a well-accessible footpath around the entire island of Sommarøya. You'll have a 360 degree view of the surrounding area.

Travel Information

There is a spacious parking lot at the beginning of the footpath. You can go up the hill for a view. Or you can stay on the footpath's lower part, which also gives you beautiful photo opportunities.
