Beautiful view from the Reinebringen. The hiking trail is via stairs, but it should not be underestimated. The trail leads through a small forest, past small streams.

Photography Tips

Be sure to check the weather! It is best to wear mountain boots, windproof clothing and take enough water with you.

Travel Information

1 hour of steep, but not too difficult hike from the E10 road. The parking spaces are marked on the map. They built Sherpa steps up to the viewpoint so it is okay and more safe to get up and down now. They are quite steep, though. It is just recommended to bring good light since it's extremely dark when you want to be up this spot for Northern Light photography.

Great photo, however, where this trail begins where it leads up

Gorgeous photo Sven-Magne! A quick question, is this place the same difficulty as Reinebringen? because I read it is very difficult and slippery.

It might be slippery and it's not an easy hike... ;-) If you are very good in hiking you might "run up the hill", but for every other person it's a little different... My friends, living in Fredvang/Lofoten told me about careless tourists and their rescue with a helicopter... You should be prepared and have an eye on the weather... I found a good (german) description. https://www.outdooractive.com/de/wanderung/norwegen/zum-postkartenmotiv-der-lofoten-auf-den-reinebringen/11668682/

Well, I climbed last summer the very rugged Mount Zas 1004 m. The climb was tough but despite the high temperature, the higher you climbed the nicer cooler breeze it offered. I made it to the top, albeit long minutes behind my guide and his dog :-) I was out of breath but goodness me, what a reward ... indescribable. 400 m is not that much seems to me.
