I was lucky to have the last visit. Much of the mass tourism had already started. The late light helps a lot.

Machu Picchu is a paid visit. At the moment entry shifts are given since the recent studies say that the place can lodge 1500 daily people without deterioration. They are currently visiting 6000 people a day.
