Peru Pallay Punchu - Apu T'acllo Layo, Canas

The area is known as one of the other "Rainbow Mountains", this is by far the longest drive from Cusco at over 5 hours, but well worth it! Nearly no tourists. The structures here along the mountain range are insane and the surrounding mountains offer a stark color spectacle, predominantly in red-green contrast.

Photography Tips

Have a strap around your camera when moving near the edges and use a wide angle lens.

Travel Information

Attention! Caution! Currently, you have to park quite far away, because the road is not passable up to the very few parking pockets by a landslide. Until a new section is replaced here, will certainly take a long time and above you have no turning option! The hike along the escarpment is not to be underestimated and should under no circumstances be done in bad weather! Take special care of yourself here!
