Poland Main Square, Krakow
The main square in Krakow is a place that grows on you over a few days. Krakow is not Paris, and probably never was, but then, it has been variously looted and trashed by invaders intent on destroying anything that could inspire civic pride: Mongols, Hapsburgs, Nazis, Soviets… It’s amazing that so much still remains if you look for it. The main square has seen it all. I felt very safe there. The locals are nice and there are lots of photo opportunities in the streets running off the square.
Is there a best time of day to go there? I’m not sure: every hour offers different photo opportunities.

Photography Tips
A tripod and wide-angle lens works well at either end of the day, but just take what you have and move around during the day.
