Poland Butorowy wierch viewing point

Just west of Butorowy wierch is a great viewing location for complete unobstructed views of the main mountains.

Take a long lens, plenty of batteries, take filters, such as ND and anti glare reduction. This area can be quite tough to get decent imagery due to the changing weather. My advice is to go on a moderately cloudy day. The clouds add story, interest, and help filter the sun. No clouds and your entire view will be overexposed. Look for leading lines and people travelling up the mountains into the mist.

Travel to Poland, into Krakow and finally onto Zakopane. Zakopane has many good bed and breakfasts and air BNB. Don’t go just for one day and always plan with the weather in mind. Don’t wander off the tracks and don’t attempt to climb the mountains by yourself. Many folk have died doing so.
