Poland Main Square, St Mary’s Basilica, Krakow, Poland.
This shot was taken about 200-300 meters in front of the St Mary’s Basilica in Krakow main square. This area is frequented by a lot of people.
Photography Tips
Summer is the best time in my opinion for photography in the main square. Especially on a day when there’s likely going to be rainbows or electrical storms. Lighting usually hits the top tower and rainbows commonly form behind the cathedral. I used a tripod for this shot. The area is frequented by a lot of tourists come summertime most of whom are usually respectful and polite. That said, I was hounded by some unsavoury characters during my last visit. Therefore, be mindful of your kit. Take some ND filters to reduce sun glare and wide angle lens.
Travel Information
Easy to access by train, car, boat or even bike. Plenty of public transport available and some very decent but cheap bed and breakfasts.
