Portugal Cliffs at Terra do Pao, Pico, Azores
This spot at the cliffs of Terra do Pao on Pico Island (Azores) is a great place for photographers who like long exposures from swirling water pools. Depending on the height of the water and the wind, the little pool in the cliffs is filling with water each 30 seconds which is a great opportunity for a nice foreground.
Photography Tips
You definitely should use a tripod and have a polarizer. ND filters depend on the time of the day and the brightness overall. In general I liked exposures around 0,25sec the most, because that's when you still see some structure in the flow of the water.
Travel Information
There is a parking opportunity just nearby on the street up there. The walk down to the water is pretty steep and you should wear sturdy shoes if you plan to walk along the pretty sharp stones. There is also a natural pool for swimming, so you might also want to take your swimwear with you.
