Portugal Chains on the Tejo river
The Parque das Nações is the striking modern side to historic and traditional Lisbon, which extends along the north-eastern side of the Tejo Estuary. The district was rejuvenated from a desolate industrial wasteland for EXPO ‘98, and has since been transformed into the centre for corporate Portugal.
Photography Tips
The park has many themes worth of photographing. A tripod is a must for long exposures. A 16-35mm will do (also 24-70mm) but a tripod is a must for seascape. Do check the tide beforehand!
Travel Information
The park is open day and night and easily accessible by foot from the Oriente train station in Lisbon. Ample paid parking spots around.
