Portugal Western view into the volcano Caldeirão, Corvo, Azores
Caldeirão is a really impressive inactive volcano, which takes up most of the space on Corvo island, which is the smallest island of the Azores, Portugal. Only a few hundred people live on this island and it's definitely worth a visit.
Photography Tips
If you want to get a really great photo, you probably need to stay over night on the island. Anything else just doesn't make sense and is just a touristic tour that will only give you a few hours during the day, which is less about the amount of people (because that's totally fine and usually there won't be so many), but more about the time you need to get to the perspective you want.
Travel Information
If you are on Flores island, there are tours that will bring you to Corvo for around 4-5 hours. In my opinion they are not worth it, if you are there for a good photo, because they will give you 2 hours to run whereever you want, but you will take exactly 2 hours to walk 1 round inside the volcano, so you won't have any time to walk up the walls of the crater.
Make sure to wear sturdy shoes, because walking inside the volcano is extremely exhausting, because there are cows that destroyed all the paths, so you will sink in every few steps when the weather was wet.
The same is true to getting up to this spot, which doesn't look steep at all, but actually it is, so don't get fooled by the perspective.
