Portugal Santa Maria de Belém
Santa Maria de Belém is the church that belongs to the 'Mosteiro dos Jerónimos' and as such has the same, rich stone carvings. The entrance fee is affordable but it takes a long time to get in because of the long queues of waiting for people.
Photography Tips
Keep your gear as lightweight as possible on one hand and as versatile as possible on the other. A tripod will come in handy once in a while when exploring Lisbon. And keep your eyes open for details! In the case of this church, any opportunity to support the camera is welcome. Try to bring at least a beanbag.
Travel Information
Parking is difficult. You’re better off walking which yields the additional advantage of seeing so much more. And – Lisbon is rather small so you don’t need a car. Hint: Try the public transport system! This is an adventure in itself!
