Portugal Atlantis
These photographs were taken at the undergound platform of the train station "Gare do Oriente". The metro station is part of the red line of the lisboan metro system and was built for the Expo in 1998.
All of the stations in Lisbon are designed by different artists. Everybody who is interested in this extraordinary art gallery located in the underground of (whole) Lisbon should buy a day pass for the metro and explore the stations.
Every station has more than one artwork! Keep your eyes open, some of them are small.
All the artworks in this station have a sea related theme. So I called the spot "Atlantis".
The artwork in the first photo was designed by Abdoulaye Konaté from Mali and the one in the second photo by Errö from Iceland.

Photography Tips
You should carry a tripod and shoot in the evening or at night, because there are less people.
Travel Information
If you buy a day pass you are also allowed to take the busses and the trams in the city. Just take the historic Tram 28 for a ride from terminus to terminus. It is definitely worth it!
