Portugal Hidden gateway

Man sized entrance way, city wall, Trancoso. Apart from the main entrances there is a (secret?) man-sized gateway, or hatch (Boeirinho) to allow entrance and exit for a single person while the main gates are closed.

Photography Tips

At sunset you can find you will create a shadow in the entrance as I did here. This was in June and gave a nice central shadow, this could differ at other times of the year of course.
