This lighthouse is in Faial Island, Azores, Portugal. In 1957, it was hit very badly, during the volcanic eruption and it's been disabled since then.
It's now a tourist attraction and beneath is the Vulcanic Interpretation Centre. The volcano is right next to it and it's possible to walk in the trails available.

The lighthouse always looks good, from all angles. The best pictures are during sunrise and sunset. You can use the stone blocks as a foreground element for your photography as they point directly toward the lighthouse.
