Portugal Porto de Mós Castle
This is one of the most interesting examples of Portuguese citadels. The design of the castle is an irregular pentagon reinforced by a tower at each corner. Four of the five towers have been recently restored.
Photography Tips
To reach the spot we have to climb the stairs that lead to the chapel "Ermida de Santo António". I used a 24-105mm lens and a tripod. All seasons are good to photograph this castle but the best time to do so is at dawn and dusk.
Travel Information
There is a free park next to the site. For those who have a motorhome, there is a free park where you can stay overnight and provide drinking water (also free).
